Accomplishments

The Oregon State University IHSA team was founded in 2000, and has since been able to acquire multiple regional champion titles as well as national recognition. The team has been regional champions for both Hunt Seat and Western for 6 consecutive years. In 2006 OSU’s Western team ranked 9th at the National competition, followed by an impressive 4th place finish in 2007 and the 2008 Western team placing 3rd at Nationals. The Hunt Seat team missed Nationals in ’08 by less than a point- falling short in the third round of a grueling tie breaker.

OSU's team has produced 2 National Champions in Beginner Walk Trot Horsemanship (Class 11), and a National Alumni Reining Champion as well! In addition, the team has also had a Reserve Champion AQHA Hi Point Rider as well as a 3rd place Hi Point Rider!

The 2008-2009 Preseason is over! This year Oregon State IHSA won team highpoint for both English and Western, as well as having 2 of our seniors- Katie Curtis and Sara Gibson- qualify for AQHA Rider and Cachionne Cup riders! Congrats OSU, it's been a great season so far and it'll just keep getting better!
